The economic valuation of ecosystem services is a rapidly growing field, with increasing interest from both researchers and policy makers. This TEEB session synthesizes state of the art knowledge on a range of issues, concepts and methodologies that are central to applying economic valuation to ecosystems services and biodiversity.

TEEB 4 Me: communicating the value of Nature

As the business sector and policy makers at both the national and local level incorporate the value of nature into decision-making, they are faced with the challenge and opportunity of raising awareness of this concept amongst citizens and consumers. Professionals from advertising, the media and the NGO sector explore how to communicate the value of nature using channels from film, advertising and journalism to social media. This session also includes the screening of the winner of the social cause category of the MOFILM Awards.
